Overview of Consumer Protection in Canada Series – Consumer warranties

In some jurisdictions there are deemed statutory warranties (in respect of sales of goods) that are implied in every sales transaction. These warranties include implied warranties or conditions as to the quality or fitness of a good supplied to a consumer or a warranty that provides that the good is durable and fit for its intended use.
